Willow Creek Baby was born in 2003 as founder Michelle Rubin
set out to create a line of baby blankets that reflected the style
of today's modern mom. Envisioning a blanket that would be
stylish enough for the modern mom, Michelle created a line of
baby blankets that complimented today's fashions. Not only will
mom love these blankets, but each blanket is backed with a
luxuriously soft chenille that your baby will love as well. Gone
are the days of pink bunnies and blue teddy bears. Today's
modern mom does it all and wants it all. She needs a baby
blanket that reflects her own style.
Michelle was born and raised in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania and is
one of four children. Diligence, hard work and the importance
of family above all else are core values Michelle learned as a
child. She has carried those values throughout her life and into
her business pursuits. Michelle started sewing at a very young
age, but it wasn't until many years later that she found sewing
to be the thread that helped her hold it all together. After a
year and a half of trying to conceive a child with her husband,
Jason, she became frustrated and began to lose hope of ever
having the family she dreamed of. She decided to refocus her
energies into something she really enjoyed, so she turned to
her sewing machine. She made a few baby blankets and hit the
road selling them. The response to her new line of baby
blankets was incredible. Her unique chenille-backed,
patchwork blankets, made with a combination of sophisticated
fabrics , were an instant hit. Willow Creek Baby was born. To
her joy and delight, Willow Creek Baby became a family affair
when her new son, Ryan, joined them in June 2004.
