| memory blanket questions What is the difference between the baby memory blanket and the adult memory blanket? The baby memory blanket is made using 8" squares, and the adult memory blanket is made using 12" squares. Can you use clothes that have buttons or snaps? Yes. We try to incorporate them when we can because it looks really cute. If, however, the buttons or snaps are loose (choking hazard) or if they are too large making the blanket uncomfortable, then we would remove them and sew the front closed. Do I have to cut the clothes into squares before I send them to Willow Creek Baby? No. Just pack up your items and send them to us, and we will do all the work. Can you use bibs, hats and receiving blankets? Yes, yes and yes. We can use almost anything that is made out of fabric. Be creative! It will make your blanket more memorable. Do I have to send infant clothes, or can I send toddler clothes also? You can send any size clothing. You can even send items other then clothing like receiving blankets, bibs or one of your maternity tops. What do you use as a backing? You can choose from white striped chenille or cream striped chenille. Both are very soft and comfy. Your child will love snuggling up to them. Do you put batting in the blankets? No. Our blankets do not have any batting. The chenille back that we use is so soft and fluffy that we do not need to use any batting. Are your blankets quilted? No. Since our blankets do not have any batting in the middle, there is no need to quilt them. If I choose to have my blanket monogrammed, where do you put it? The monogram is placed on the front of the blanket. Usually in the bottom corner. Are the memory blankets machine washable? Yes, all of our blankets are machine washable and can be tumbled dry on low. The chenille we use on the back has a tendency to shed the first few times you wash it, so we recommend that you wash your blanket separately until the shedding stops. Don't forget to clean out the lint tray, because it will fill up the first few times you wash your new blanket. Do you return unused clothing and scraps? We do not return unused clothing unless you request us to do so. For this reason, please only send the clothing that you would like used in the blanket.
